The GOC – IN- Eastern Command NCC Best Cadets award ceremony 2025 organized under the Eastern Command, Kolkata, was a prestigious event that brought together the most dedicated and disciplined cadets from across the North Eastern Region and West Bengal. The event aimed to recognize and reward excellence in leadership, discipline, and commitment among the National Cadet Corps.
A team of NCC cadets from Sikkim Government College Namchi had the honor of representing the institution at the ceremony. Our college was selected based on its outstanding performance in NCC activities throughout the year. The contingent, led by Junior Under Officer Nitesh Chettri, along with JUO Aakriti Chettri, SGT Bikash Chettri, SGT Sristi Sharma and SGT Kuwain Hang Subba who had actively participated in various national and regional camps including Pre – Republic Day Camp (RDC), All India Thail Sanik Camp, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB), Advance Leadership Camp and Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC).
The Chief Guest of the ceremony Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari ( PVSM, UYSM, AVSM) GOC -IN- C Eastern Command lauded the efforts of the cadets and encouraged them to continue their service to the nation with zeal and integrity. He highlighted the importance of the NCC in shaping responsible citizens and future leaders.
The participation of our college in such a prestigious event was a moment of pride and served as a motivation for all cadets to strive for excellence.
